LinkedIn Lead Enricher

Turn LinkedIn profiles into a clean, targeted prospect list in seconds

LinkedIn Lead Enricher is a lightweight tool that extracts profile data, job roles and contact insights from LinkedIn. Marketers and founders use it to build targeted prospect lists in seconds instead of copying details by hand. I designed the product and built the front-end and the extraction pipeline.

01The problem

What needed solving

Founders and marketers often build prospect lists by opening profiles one by one and copying names, roles and companies into a spreadsheet. It is slow, error-prone and hard to keep consistent. The tool had to speed this up while keeping the user in control of what goes into the list.

Who it’s for

  • Founders

Build a short, well-targeted list for outreach without a sales team.

  • Marketers

Get clean data by role and company to plan campaigns.

  • Growth teams

Drop lists straight into the spreadsheet or outreach tool they already use.

02The main flow

From profiles to prospect list

The moment in blue is the one the whole design is built around.
  1. 01

    Choose profiles to enrich

  2. 02

    Start the extraction

  3. 03

    Review enriched results

  4. 04

    Filter by role

  5. 05

    Export the list

04Key decisions

Choices that shaped it

What I considered, what I chose, and why.

Decision 01

Review before export

Scraped data is never perfectly clean, and a bad row in an outreach list is costly.

Considered

Extract and download a file in one step.

Chosen

Results land in a table first, where users can filter by role, remove rows and fix fields before exporting.

Why it works

A short review step keeps lists accurate. Users trust the tool more when they can see and shape what it found.

Decision 02

Progress that shows real rows

Extraction takes time, and a spinner gives no sense of what is happening.

Considered

A progress bar with a percentage and nothing else.

Chosen

I streamed rows into the table as each profile was processed, with a clear count of done, pending and failed.

Why it works

Early results reassure people that the tool works. They also let someone stop a poor search before it finishes.

Decision 03

A list builder, not a CRM

Lead tools tend to grow into full CRMs, which adds setup and screens a list builder does not need.

Considered

Add pipelines, deals and sequences inside the tool.

Chosen

I kept the product to extract, review and export, and made exports fit the tools people already use.

Why it works

Staying small kept it quick to learn. It also means it fits into any existing sales setup.

05What’s inside

Key features

Profile extraction

Pulls names, job roles and companies from LinkedIn profiles.

Contact insights

Adds role and company context to each prospect.

Live progress

Rows appear as profiles are processed, with a clear count of what is left.

Clean results table

Sort, filter and edit results before they leave the tool.

Ready-to-use exports

Lists export in a consistent format for spreadsheets and outreach tools.

06How it was built

Designed and built

I designed it and wrote the code, so the design survived contact with reality.

Interface

  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Streaming results table

Services

  • Node.js API
  • Job queue

Extraction

  • Python workers
  • Headless browser
  • Data cleaning

Data

  • PostgreSQL
  • Spreadsheet export

07Outcome

What was delivered

Delivered

  • Product design for extraction, live progress, results review and export
  • A React front-end with a streaming results table
  • An extraction pipeline that turns profiles into structured rows
  • Consistent exports for spreadsheets and outreach tools

What I learned

  1. 01

For data tools, the review screen is the product. Extraction is only half the job.

  2. 02

Showing real progress builds more trust than a fast spinner.
